Faces United

Giulia focuses her work on enhancing female energy. Her rapid success on the island of Ibiza, which led her to host different solo exhibitions at Pikes, Nagai, Art Hotel Paradiso in just six months, has put her in the spotlight.

Giulia has always fantasized about how she could create a difference in society and decided her Art could create a social statement. Through shared contacts she obtained permission to portray famous women, starting from a picture taken by famous photographers.

The first muses portrayed are British actress, Jaime Winston, portrayed by Louie Banks (“Pacha Mama está de Fiesta”, 2021), and Spanish supermodel, Cristina Tosio (“Cinderella’s Midnight Bus”, 2021), portrayed by the Spanish photographer duo, Hunter + Gatti.

Dita Von Teese, in a portrait by Ellen von Unwerth, has already agreed to participate in the project.

The mission of the project is to raise money and create a structure that sustains female minorities around the world by funding new businesses which will help women in the process of becoming economically independent. Public figures will continuously lend their images to be portrayed by Giulia Caruso.

Using her creative vision, she will reinterpret the images and the works will then be collected and exhibited before going to auction. Part of the money raised will go to the Faces United Foundation, set up by the artist herself.

The project will be ongoing, and different icons will be selected each year to assist in the promotion of female evolution within society and its many different cultures.

The first phase of the Faces United project will be developed in Mexico with the support of Ezequiel Ayarza Sforza and “Pueblo del Sol”: a sustainable project based on organic agriculture, cultural activities, arts and crafts classes, seeking to shape a new educational system with indigenous communities in the sierra of Oaxaca.
